  A easy walk to the ocean is rewarded with a quaint bay that has beautiful views from all angles. A walk out to the Vesper point gave us a spectacular view of water, small islands with the mountains as a back drop. We got lucky to see 3 seals swimming by and a tug boat hauling logs. This park contained the largest Arbutus trees I have ever seen and in large amounts. The Arbutus tree is native to Vancouver Island. The bark peels off the tree revealing a red wood. I love that in the summer with the cove being so protective would be a nice place to take your floaty and bask in the sun. We enjoyed all the different colours in the rocks and the patterns in the trees. Would definitely go again to check out the meadow walk or enjoy a summer's day.
