  I've been a customer at this store for about 10 years. The only reason I continue to be a customer is because of the store's convenient location and they have a fairly good selection of groceries. The prices are very high. As a matter of fact, the Petro-Canada gas station in Nanoose Bay has better prices for most of their goods (inc. tobacco, pop, chips & milk). Gas station groceries shouldn't be cheaper. I have mixed thoughts regarding customer service at this store. The younger staff members are very professional, polite, courteous and are extremely helpful. However, the older staff members can be very rude at times. I understand that tobacco products are bad for you. But every time I purchase tobacco products whenever one of the older staff members are on the till, I get treated horribly. They also don't accept valid Federal Government ID (IE: firearms licences) which is actually illegal...

  Nice little local grocery store. Staff is friendly & helpful. No pharmacy, but Medicine Shop is across the parking lot.

  I was in the store on Saturday and noticed that a lot of items were not priced on the shelves so it was impossible to tell the price until you got to the cash. I complained to the cashier who yelled across the store to the produce manager who was responsible for the Yves products, none of which were priced on the shelves. After a dialogue with him he admitted that these were not priced. The specialty chocolate items at the cash were also not priced and I mentioned that to the cashier. If looks could kill I'd be dead right now. I was polite and courteous during this transaction and did not deserve the scorn and sarcasm of the Quality foods staff. This store also has a large number of out of date items on the shelf..more than any other Quality foods. There is very little competition for the elderly residents of Red Gap who cannot drive. I feel insulted by their attitude caused by my making what I considered a legitimate complaint. A more suspicious mind might think that they were hiding the sell prices so people could be overcharged. My family and friends will no longer be shopping there.

  I love having the fish and chips while my wife does the grocery shopping... It's a win win situation the way I see it.
